WOMEN'S LEAGUE

Ingleside Golf Club is getting ready for their 2010 Ladies Golf League. It should be a great time to get together, to socialize and to improve our golf skills.

This letter is only being mailed to those who have played or substituted in the ladies league. Mail or drop off your application and non-refundable entry fee at the Pro Shop on or before March 1, 2010.

It is important that if you decide to become part of the league, that you make a commitment to follow through until the league ends. We are planning on Tuesday afternoons with a May 4, 2010 start date, and will continue until August 24, 2010. Tee Times begin at 4:30 p.m. Format will be alternating nine-hole front and back. Practice rounds will start April 6, 2010 and only the Front 9 will be played. For practice rounds please call the Pro Shop a week before to schedule a tee time.

Scheduling is always difficult so please bear with us as we attempt to place people in their requested starting times. You will find a place on your application asking what time you can get to the course, ready to play. After we receive everyone’s application, we will flight groups according to the time they can start.

All teams are scheduled on a first come/first serve basis. All forms returned to the golf club will be dated upon arrival. It is up to you to coordinate with your partner and return this form ASAP. No teams will be made up until both forms and entry fee is received.

Partners will be paired for the season and will play a different twosome each week. This will help you to get to know the other ladies. If you are joining with a friend, please be sure to fill out the appropriate information on you application.

It is proper Golf Etiquette to call the Pro Shop if you cannot make your tee time or you can email Tim @ teke31@hotmail.com. A list will be kept at the register with your name and team # informing your fellow golfers that you will not be showing and if you have scheduled a sub. It is your responsibility to call a sub. Please let her know your tee time and what team she will be pairing up with.

All ladies are required to be at the tee 15 minutes prior to your tee time allowing enough time to pay, check the no show/sub list at the register and head out to the front/back nine.

All schedule teams are to go out on schedule tee times. Absolutely no one is to move up or down with another team. Only the starter makes such decisions after checking with the Pro Shop.

If weather is questionable, call the Pro Shop to see if the league for that day is canceled. In the event of extreme flooding and only one side of the course is open the schedule league for that side of the course will play the open 9. Unless the course is closed, rain checks will be strictly enforced. Only the superintendent makes the call due to flooding, thunder and lightning.

The cost will be $20.00 each week, walk or ride. There will also be a $40.00 non-refundable entry fee due with your application. This year we will have a winner in each flight. So there won’t be an overall winner or team winner each week. So we will have three individual or team winners every week. Also there is a lot of complaining about ladies not counting strokes and taking mulligans. If you swing and miss it also counts as a stroke. You have to count every stroke.

We are excited about this new season and hope you can join us for a fun time!
